Background: As the Mel Fellow positions are funded through state legislation intended to further the goals of DNR, these students will act as representatives of the state to promote Natural Resources and Urban Forestry careers. It is therefore imperative that they be able to comport themselves in a professional manner, to work independently with initiative and to maintain their academic program along with fellowship activities.
